Physical features: extremely tall (around 6'2), a bit on the skinny side, rather short hair, a beautiful smile (if I do say so myself)


On the whole, Dean is a laid back, patient person, who usually ends up playing the role of pacifyer. He dislikes confrontations and is very good at talking people out of bad decisions. All this is not to say that he doesn't have a temper, it's just that when he gets angry, he usually likes to spend time alone to let things cool down.
Dean gets along very well with just about everyone in school, with the exception of the majority of Slytherin house (who can blame him?). He can usually be found with Seamus, neck deep in some mischief or another.

Random bits of info:
Dean has a way of being completely honest with people without hurting their feelings. He has a silly sense of humor and sometimes tells really bad jokes :D His favorite subjects are Transfiguration and Charms.



Dean J. Thomas was born in March, 1980 to John and Teresa Thomas, both muggles (or so the world thought), who had been married two years earlier. When Dean was barely one year old, John Thomas left suddenly, leaving no explanation as to his departure. Teresa was devastated, but for the sake of her son, pulled herself together suprisingly quickly and re-married the following year. Thus, Dean was raised by his mother and stepfather, Jonah, but kept his own father's surname.
The Thomas/Green household was always a happy one, if slightly chaotic; by the time Dean was nine years old, he had 2 half-sisters and 3 half-brothers, all of whom he is fiercely protective of. Jonah has always treated Dean as if he was his own, and although Teresa has told Dean about his John, the boy has rarely felt resentful or angry. He discovered at an early age, though, that art, specifically drawing, was a way to let out any stress or anger he might be dealing with.

At age 11, Dean received a mysterious letter from one Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, inviting him to come the next school year. His parents and siblings (the ones old enough to understand) were understandably bewildered, but once the shock wore off and everything was explained, they were all very happy for Dean.

The first year at Hogwarts went by amazingly fast for Dean. He quickly became best friend of Seamus Finnigan, a half-blood boy in his dormitory, and got along splendidly with his other dorm-mates, Neville Longbottom, Ron Weasley, and of course, the famous Harry Potter.

As far as school work goes, Dean is an average student, nothing brilliant. His passions are drawing and football, although the latter has diminished just a wee bit over the years due to the fact that just about nobody at Hogwarts has any idea what fooball is. He has grudgingly come to appreciate Quidditch, and though he doesn't play, he watches the games with enthusiasm.
